| Hyenas and Vultures are the Plains health Police. They are in charge
of disposing of dead animals, before diseases can spread and infect
animals. But they not only feed on dead animals, that are called
carrion, they are also very able hunters and thieves, that often enough
manage to steal a Lions kill.
The animals live in large families of up to a hundred individuals, just like the now extinct wild dogs used to in Europe. Especially at night one can hear their barking, that sounds a little like a laugh. |
